and Public Health Sciences (IGSCPP)

         The 15th IGSCPP welcomes the submission of abstracts with a maximum length of 400 words for original contributions in the population and public health sciences field. The abstracts must be submitted by June 7, 2024, and will be subject to a double-blind peer-review process conducted by a panel of reviewers. Authors will be notified of their abstract's acceptance status by June 21, 2024

Note:  Onsite participation is encouraged for those who reside in Thailand. The conference only allows those outside of the country (or unable to join on-site) to participate on the virtual platform on prior notice.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE 15th IGSCPP ARE:

·         To promote cooperative academic activities under the memorandum of understanding between the Institute for Population and Social Research, the ASEAN Institute of Health Development, Mahidol University and the College of Public Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University. 

·         To provide graduate students, faculties, and researchers with opportunities for developing and presenting academic paper and research at a national and international conference.

·         To enhance the quality of research in Population and Public Health in order to reach international standards.

·         To disseminate graduate student research among research communities to benefit the public at both national and international levels.

 

 

PARTICIPANTS:

  • Graduate students, researchers and staffs from organize institutions i.e.  AIHD, IPSR and CPHS.
  • Graduate students, researchers and staffs from Chulalongkorn and Mahidol University Health Sciences’ faculties and other faculties, e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Science, Dentistry, Sport Science, Allied Health Sciences, and Communication Arts.
  • Public Health and Public Health Sciences Institutes Network in Thailand
  • Students researchers and academic staffs from partner universities / institution in Asian and other regions.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: 

The abstracts should not exceed 400 words, Times New Roman 12 point with 3-5 keywords. The paper title should be typed in bold. The abstract should include background, objective (s), method(s), result (s), and conclusion. Complete contact information for each author should be provided in a form of the author's name, affiliation, and email address. The corresponding author should be clearly identified (in case of multiple authors) with an asterisk (*).

Please be informed that the final decision is dependent on the conference’s scientific committee.

All abstracts will be judged on the following criteria by a team of peer reviewers:

·   Relevance to National/International Health Initiatives.

·   Relevance to the conference theme.

·   Originality: Presentation of new ideas or expansion of existing ideas.

·   Implementation Experience: How widely can it be used?

·   Clarity of Writing: Does the abstract present the proposed scope and purpose in an organized, well-written manner?

·   Quality: Accuracy and completeness of the abstract proposal.

·   Importance: Value to public health and/or population issues.

·   Overall: Rating based on reviewer’s general impression of proposal.

 

Choices for Publications

1.    Proceeding Submission:

Presenters of either oral and poster presentation have the option to submit a proceeding (no longer than 3500 words) to the 15th IGSCPP 2024. All proceeding MUST be submitted in Microsoft Word (by 5 July 2024), double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font. 2.    Publication in Journals:

Presenters of Competitive Papers are encouraging to submit to the Journal of Health Research (JHR) at www.emeraldinsight.com/journal/jhr or the Journal of Public Health and Development (J Pub Health Dev) at https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/AIHD-MU or the Journal of Population and Social Studies (JPSS) at https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jpss/ for publication (no longer than 5000 words)

 

CONSIDERATION PROCESS:

The conference secretariat will notify by email regarding the progress of your submission within 2 weeks after abstract submission deadline.

- Papers accepted for oral presentation will be presented in English with Microsoft Power Point presentation. The presentation is within 15 minutes with Q&A session.

- Papers accepted for poster presentation will be presented in English, prepared using the provided format, and printed for physical poster presentation..

 

BEST STUDENT PRESENTATION AWARDS: 

Awards for the best student presentation (oral/ poster presentations) will be conferred at the conference. (In order to qualify for these awards, the paper must be presented at the conference.)
